Sen. Leslie Is Our Newest Gold Affinity Partner
WashoeDEMS is proud to announce that Sheila Leslie, has renewed her Affinity Partner status as a Gold Member! As an Assemblywoman she has always supported the county party because she "believes in what we do". WashoeDEMS was committed to seeing her elected as our newest State Senator, and we look forward to continuing to support her, as well as all of our Northern legislators as they begin what promises to be a tough Legislative Session.
TMDA Crab Feed- Saturday, February 19th
Join Master of Ceremonies, and Chairman of 
TMDA, Bob McGowan for a night of good food, and great company! TMDA's annual "Crabbing with Democrats" is happening on Saturday, February 19th from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. The event is being held at the Sparks Park and Rec Center, 98 Richards Way. The cost is $50 per person or a table of 8 for $400, and tickets can be purchased by clicking HERE. Tickets are also available at the door.
Enjoy a feast of Fresh cracked dungeness crab, vegetarian lasagna, truckee sourdough company bread, caesar salad, house salad, belgian chocolate brownies, and lemon bars. Food catered by Men Wielding Fire.
Shelley Berkley will be attending the TMDA Crab Feed! Stop by for a Meet and Greet with Nevada's Favorite Congresswoman at 5:30 PM.

Every two years the WashoeDEMS Central Committee elects its Executive Board, fellow volunteers who take on the management and direction of the party. At the central committee meeting on March 1st candidates will be nominated and on April 5th elections will be held. You are encouraged to consider running for a Board position and to participate in the election process by being at the April 5th

I am pleased to announce that Robert McGowan, current chair of the Truckee Meadows Democratic Alliance and former Washoe County Assessor, will be our Election Chair. He and his committee will propose election rules and he will have final say on all aspects of the election. Watch your email account and visit the WashoeDEMS website for election information.

Former WashoeDEMS Chair Will Run for NSDP Chair

Chris Wicker, former Chair of WashoeDEMS has annouced his intentions to run for Chairman of the Nevada State Democratic Party. That position is currently held by Sam Lieberman, who has annouced he will not be seeking re-election. The NSDP Board Elections will be held in Reno at UNR! Brunch! WashoeDEMS is thrilled to announce that Nevada political reporter, TV Host of "Face to Face", and frequent commentator on MSNBC, Jon Ralston, will be our featured speaker this year! Also, Sparks City Councilwoman, Julia Ratti, will Emcee the event!
