WashoeDEMS interns attending the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference
In March of this year, four young women from
the University of Nevada, Reno are hoping to attend the 2011 National Young Feminist Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the Feminist Majority Foundation.
Current WashoeDEMS communication intern, Jazzmine Hudson and last year communication intern, Misha Ray, hope to earn the tools necessary to continue progressing this decades-old equality movement.
"When we return from the conference, we will be able to share what we learned with peers at the University and within the community," said Ray.
All four attendees aspire to work in political or non-profit organizations, and skills they learn at this conference will be crucial to their career goals.
The Conference takes place on March 12, 13 and 14 and with your generous support, the students will be able to return from this conference with the tools to change lives.
